DeepAgent vs Lovable, Bolt, v0 & Base44

Compare five AI app builders by workflow, code access, backend dependencies, and the checks to run before moving a prototype into production.

Editorial update: . Research-based comparison; no new head-to-head benchmark is claimed.

Our recommendation

Choose by the work you want to own after the first build. DeepAgent, now Abacus AI Agent, combines agent-led building with managed services. Lovable emphasizes product iteration and Git sync; Bolt combines a browser development environment with cloud services; v0 fits a Next.js and Vercel workflow; Base44 offers an integrated app platform with developer access. None removes the need to test the application.

DeepAgentAgent-led full-stack building with integrated database, authentication, and LLM features.Inspect the generated architecture, confirm service costs, and test rollback before launch.
LovableIterating a user-facing product with a route into a synced source repository.Plan the backend and data migration separately from the source-code handoff.
Bolt.newWorking directly with a JavaScript app in the browser, with database and hosting options.Verify required runtimes and dependencies against supported technologies.
V0 by VercelBuilding UI and full-stack Next.js applications within the Vercel ecosystem.Do not treat v0 as only a component generator; check backend integrations and deployment requirements.
Base44A managed business application with built-in services and optional developer workflows.Two-way GitHub sync requires an eligible plan; exported code can still rely on Base44 services.

Run a useful trial

  1. Write one acceptance test for sign-in, a protected record, and a failed operation. Run the same test on every candidate.
  2. Compare a repair round after the initial build: one schema change, one UI change, and one integration failure.
  3. Inventory source, database, secrets, domain, and third-party services. Document how each can be backed up or moved.
  4. Compare the total trial spend and expected runtime cost. A low subscription price alone does not establish the cheapest working application.

Pricing and platform dependencies

Use the current vendor plan for the feature you need. Check billing period, AI usage, seats, hosting, storage, and integration limits separately. The linked reviews retain their own pricing-check dates; this editorial consolidation is not a claim that every price was rechecked.
